How to use this world clock
- Your local time and date show at the top, auto-detected from your device.
- Type a city name in the search box and pick it from the suggestions to add it.
- Drag rows to reorder them, or use the sort buttons to order by time or UTC offset.
- Toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour format — your choice is remembered next visit.
- Remove any city with the X button; your full list is saved locally.
Frequently asked questions
Does the world clock handle Daylight Saving Time?
Yes. Times are computed with your browser's built-in IANA time-zone database (via Intl.DateTimeFormat), which knows the full DST rules for every supported city.
Why does a city show +1d or -1d next to its time?
When the current instant lands on a different calendar date than your local day, a +1d (ahead) or -1d (behind) badge appears — so you instantly see that 'Friday evening here' is 'Saturday morning in Tokyo'.
Are my added cities saved between visits?
Yes. Your city list, order and 12h/24h preference are stored in your browser's localStorage. Clear your browser data to reset.
Why do two cities in the same country sometimes show different times?
Several large countries span multiple zones: the US has six, Russia has eleven, Australia has three (plus half-hour Adelaide). And some places use half-hour or 45-minute offsets — India is UTC+5:30, Nepal is UTC+5:45. The world clock uses each city's own IANA zone rather than a country average.
